FAQ

Q:  What do we do?
A:   Hunting.  Ministry.  Deer breeding.

Q:  What can you tell me about the hunting?
A:   We endeavor to provide an amazing all-around hunting experience to a very limited number of clients, pursuing world class whitetails on our ranch. See the
hunting page.

Q:  Why a limited number of clients?
A:  Quality over quantity.  As avid hunters, we will maintain a high level of integrity in regards to our fair chase policy, therefore we are limited to the number of hunts we can provide.  We want our guests to experience the hunt of a lifetime, not just harvest an exceptional animal.

Q: What can you tell me about the ministry?
A: We endeavor to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through stewardship of the resources the Lord has entrusted to us, by
providing outdoor adventures to and supporting life-challenged youths and their families.  We will also support pastors and fund missionaries both locally and abroad.  Please see the ministry page.

Q: Why the focus on youths and their families?
A: The catalyst for serving terminally ill, life-challenged and at risk youths and their families is the time we spent at University of Michigan Mott's Children's Hospital with our 7 year old son. He had a liver transplant in December 2010. Through this experience we have grown tremendously in our faith and have become even more aware of the need to share the love of Christ more purposefully with others; being burdened specifically for these kids and their families.  Read Jacob's story here.

Q:  Is this a ministry or a business?
A:  Both.  We sell a limited number of hunts and donate hunts each season.  Selling hunts eliminates our need to seek financial support for the ministry year after year.  The business is a necessary side of the ministry to make it self-sustaining.  Without our paying hunters, we cannot serve youths and their families.

Q: How can you help?
A: Prayer is vital, would you consider praying for us on a consistent basis?
A: We trust the Lord to provide for what He has called us to do.  Perhaps that is through you or someone you know?  Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

Q: Is Superior Whitetails a 501c3?
A: No. A 501c3 is governed by a board of directors, we feel it would be irresponsible to turn over our working family farm - which has been in the family over 60 years - to a board of directors, competent as they may be.  At the end of the day, we are seeking to love people through stewardship, not pursuing tax benefits.   This means that your giving is NOT tax deductible.
